Abstract
Aim of the Study: To provide a framework for nurturing informed, active, and responsible citizens through effective civic education in schools
Methodology: The paper relies on secondary sources and is primarily based on qualitative method of analysis.
Findings: The paper identities several key components of effective civic education, such as, civic knowledge, skills development, value education and practical opportunities for students to engage in community projects and real-world political processes.
Practical implications: Teachers play an important role in building civic knowledge and equipping students with the skills needed for active participation in democracy.
